Aims and Purposes of the LSS

  • To facilitate, encourage and improve the education of law at the University of Melbourne, and in general;
  • To promote and publicise the wide range of career opportunities available to law students;
  • To represent students in the conditions of graduate employment and professional admission;
  • To provide a range of social activities for the benefit of all law students;
  • To produce publications to assist in the promotion of these aims, and to provide material of general interest to law students; and
  • To promote a commitment to social justice and a critical interest in law and the operation of law in society.
