Beyond Law School - The LSS Annual Careers Fair

BEYOND LAW SCHOOL

The Melbourne University Law Students’ Society Careers Portfolios and Equality Directors welcome you to the Beyond Law School careers fair. Following the success of the inaugural festival last year, we wanted to host a similar event to highlight the broad array of career opportunities that are available to Melbourne Law School graduates. We have invited a number of passionate and inspiring speakers to provide students with an insight into their chosen career paths, working in the Victorian, Australian and international legal sectors. We invite all students to take advantage of this opportunity to engage with the speakers presenting at Beyond Law School and hope that this provides you with the chance to consider your own career opportunities and pathways.

Melbourne Law School 2012 - Where The Fun Never Stops

So you thought studying law was going to be all work and no play?

You thought wrong.

In 2012, Anna Eleftheriadis and Nicholas Baum have a vast range of events planned to keep you all on your (dancing) toes. In Semester One, the highlights includes Law Camp (not-to-be-missed), Law Ball (not-to-be-forgotten) and End of Exams (not-to-be-remembered). In Semester Two, we'll be bringing you the Law School Fashion Show, and then invite you to do the entertaining at Law School's Got Talent 2012. Plus BBQs, inter-uni sport, laser tag, ice-skating and paintball!

BBQs

If you haven’t been to, or at least scabbed free food from, an LSS BBQ yet, you must be living under a rock. Throughout the year if you see a large crowd and hear some kickass music pumping from the University Square lawns, then you’ll know the LSS is hosting a BBQ. Free food (sausages, meat and vege burgers), free drinks (beer, pre-mixed spirits and soft drinks), good music and your hanging with your fellow law students on a sunny afternoon… sounds much better than studying alone in a cubicle in the Law Library at 1pm.

After Exams Parties

Look out for our mid-year and end-of-year After Exams Parties. We generally co-host them with Law Student Societies from Monash, La Trobe, Deakin, Vic Uni etc. So if they rock, give all the credit to us, and if they suck, blame Monash like we always do.

Check the website and posters around the Law School for updates regarding each and every event!
