Health & Wellbeing Seminars
A new initiative for 2009 is the introduction of a series of health and well being seminars. These seminars are designed to combat the high incidence of depression amongst law students. A number of issues will be tackled including providing information for students on work-life balance and stress management.
Seminar Three: Principles of Happiness
With end of semester fast approaching, the Melbourne University Law
Students' Society is here to provide assistance and support during
this challenging time.
Presenting our third and final seminar in our Health and Wellbeing
series, this lunchtime workshop will identify key elements and
strategies that contribute to a happier, fulfilling and more
satisfying life.

Seminar Two: Body Balance
The Melbourne University Law Students’ Society is pleased to announce
the second instalment in its Health and Wellbeing Series, ‘Body
Balance’. We have organised for a Body Balance instructor to come out
to the law school and lead students through a tai chi, yoga and
pilates workout, which is designed to build flexibility and strength
and promote a state of harmony and balance.

Seminar One: ‘Dealing with Exam Stress’
With exams fast approaching, the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society is here to provide assistance and support during this challenging time. We therefore present the first in our series of Health and Wellbeing Seminars, ‘Dealing with Exam Stress’.
‘Dealing with Exam Stress’ is a lunchtime seminar that will discuss:
- Methods for identifying anxiety.
- Motivation strategies to increase exam performance.
- Strategies to reduce exam anxiety.
- In addition, Minter Ellison will provide a legal industry perspective about how to manage work/life balance.
Date: Wednesday 13th May.
