INTERESTED IN WORKING IN HONG KONG IN AN INTERNATIONAL LEGAL PRACTICE? Apply for a 2008 Allen & Overy Summer Placement to secure a 2010 Trainee Solicitor Contract and experience it for yourself! Allen & Overy would like to invite you to apply for a four-week summer vacation placement for June or July 2008. We are keen to receive applications from 2nd year (penultimate year) LLB students and 3rd year non-law students who are interested in joining our Summer Placement Scheme in Hong Kong in 2008, with a view to applying for a trainee solicitor position in Hong Kong in September 2010. The interview takes the form of a preparation-free case study. We will assess your ability to work as part of a team, your leadership and presentation skills and entrepreneurial spirit and energy. Excellent academic results are essential and Chinese and English language skills are highly advantageous. Our placements include experience in two seats in different departments, a full training programme, a series of challenging assessments, individual coaching from your trainer and a calendar packed with social and pro bono activities. We will also pay PCLL course fees and subsidise living expenses if you accept a training contract with us.
