OPP Legal Traineeships 2012
The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) Legal Traineeship Program offers law graduates a unique opportunity to experience diverse and challenging work that will provide the basis for a rewarding legal career.
Over 12 months legal trainees rotate through the organisation, gaining experience in a broad range of legal practice areas and responsibilities, including preparing legal advice and indictments, and instructing Crown Prosecutors and external counsel.
Applications for the 2012 Legal Traineeship Program close at midnight on Sunday 14 August 2011.
Your application will consist of three components:
- your curriculum vitae,
- a certified extract of your academic record, and
- a covering letter, including written responses to the following two questions.
In your opinion:
- How could delay in the criminal justice system be addressed?
- Why is independence important for a prosecutorial agency?
Responses to each of these questions should be limited to no more than 200 words.
