Reprieve Volunteer Talk – Monday 23 August, 1.00pm

Reprieve is an Australian non-government organisation that fights the death penalty.  It seeks to provide effective legal representation and humanitarian assistance to those facing the death penalty, to advocate against the death penalty and to raise awareness about human rights. Reprieve conducts volunteer programs at home and abroad, including sending Australians to defend clients facing the death penalty.

Reprieve will be holding a presentation on Monday 23 August at 1.00pm (venue GM17) for those interested in its volunteer programs.

Recently returned Reprieve Volunteers will be sharing stories about their experience in the United States fighting the death penalty. If you're interested in learning more about how the volunteer program operates, what they look for in applicants and how you can apply, or if you're simply interested in the death penalty as a general issue, then there will be plenty of advice and the opportunity for questions.
