The Witches of Eastwick

The Witches of Eastwick is a riotous Gothic Comedy about a conservative small town, filled with many interesting and nosey people that are about to be rocked by a mysterious newcomer with devilish charm. Melbourne Law School's very own Kathryn Sutherland plays a key role in this production.

Based on John Updike’s acclaimed novel and the hugely successful 1987 film starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer & Susan Sarandon, the musical is in turns cheeky, romantic, hilarious & sexy.

The story follows the exploits of three women, the witches Alexandra Spofford, Jane Smart, and Sukie Rougemont, who acquired supernatural powers after leaving or being left by their husbands. But when they wish for the perfect man, the arrival of the charming Darryl Van Horne throws their world into convulsions. The mysterious Darryl seduces each of the women, encouraging them to expand their powers and creating a scandal in the town.

But when things start to get out of control, the witches decide to take matters into their own hands.
