It will be available in hardcopy on level 2 from Wednesday 26th May, so come up and grab your free copy.
Seasonal Clerkship Seminars & Mock Interviews
In conjunction with the release of the Seasonal Clerkship Guide, a series of seminars will be conducted featuring presentations by law firm representatives as to what they are looking for when they rummage through hundreds of applications. They will provide you with useful tips about the skills needed to maximise your chances of a successful application as well as insight into each firm’s focus areas and culture. We will also hold mock interviews between students and firm representatives to allow for constructive feedback and a feel for the type of questions asked in a real interview.
These seminars are free and open to all law students and will be conducted during lunchtimes. We encourage anyone considering taking a seasonal clerkship to attend.
The seminars will be taking place in 2010 between May 4 and 13 each day at 1pm. The topics are...

Seminar One: ‘Dealing with Exam Stress’
With exams fast approaching, the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society is here to provide assistance and support during this challenging time. We therefore present the first in our series of Health and Wellbeing Seminars, ‘Dealing with Exam Stress’.
‘Dealing with Exam Stress’ is a lunchtime seminar that will discuss:
- Methods for identifying anxiety.
- Motivation strategies to increase exam performance.
- Strategies to reduce exam anxiety.
- In addition, Minter Ellison will provide a legal industry perspective about how to manage work/life balance.
Date: Wednesday 13th May.
