MULSS Elections 2026/27
A Note on Electing for MULSS Positions
Being elected to the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society is a significant privilege. As the largest representative body for students at Melbourne Law School, and part of the oldest law students’ society in Australia, MULSS carries a proud tradition of service, leadership and excellence.
A position on the MULSS Committee is an opportunity to contribute to that tradition and to give back to the Melbourne Law School community. Committee members build on the work of those who came before them, while contributing their own ideas, time and energy to the continued development of the Society.
Serving on the Committee can be demanding. It requires commitment, collaboration and a willingness to work in the interests of the wider student community, often behind the scenes. The events, initiatives and projects delivered throughout the year form part of the collective work of MULSS and contribute to the experience of its members.
A role on the Committee can also provide valuable opportunities for professional and personal growth, as well as genuine friendships and lasting connections. These experiences are often a welcome part of being involved in the Society.
Those nominating are encouraged to approach the role with a mindset of service, responsibility and collaboration. The work of each Committee contributes to something larger and more enduring: a Society that continues to support and represent Melbourne Law School students.
To those who choose to contribute to MULSS's next chapter, thank you. Your time, energy and commitment help ensure that the Society continues to grow, evolve and serve its community. While the work can be challenging, the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution can be deeply rewarding.
